About Us
Looking for a farm to visit and experience? We invite you to discover our farm near Litchfield, MN. You might come for nostalgic reasons or just to see our picturesqe farm that is nestled next to Youngstrom Lake in a grove of oak and walnut trees in rural Meeker County. Some come to see our friendly farm animals or to pick their pumpkins or squash to celebrate the fall season. Some come to see the firey red Indian Sumack or the mighty oaks yellowing and walk the trails next to the lake and maybe catch a glimpse of deer or other wildlife. The District forester said we have trees that are over 300 years old. Others come to see the big red barn that was built in 1900 by 30 families in one day with notch and peg construction. Our farm house was built one year after the barn in 1901. Some come just to get a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch pulled by "ALICE" our 1958 tractor or a trolley ride pulled by huge Beautiful Horses. We have grown up on a farm and wish to share this heritage with you. Today there are few farms to visit and experience. Whether you come on a school field trip or experience the Fall Festival it will be one you wouldn't forget. And come for some home made mini-donuts. Don & Sonja Nelson
